Recently a new coffee shop-grocery opened in Heraklion, by the interior design Company Manousos Leontarakis & partners. The store is called Dipol? and is located downtown in the old city. It is a combination of a traditional coffee shop and groceries, while operates under the principles of traditional Cretan food and tasty dishes are served. It advocates healthy life style and sales high quality biological materials.
The dominant decoration materials are raw wood, stone and earthy tones on wall coverings called Kourasanit. On flooring has been used antique cement mosaic tiles, an old item that is applied in a more modernized way. Led lighting improvises the products on the wooden shelves. In conclusion, furniture is chosen to complement the traditional Cretan style, black metal chairs and round marble tables are dominant.
